Fees for final plats, road variances, and other development permits in Kittitas County are likely to increase this year.
The county is considering fee changes in its Public Works and Community Development Services departments, according to Kittitas County County Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. The county will have a meeting on April 4 to approve the fee schedule. The Public Health Department approved its fee changes in December.
“The primary reason is because the county is moving to a fund recovery model so people are paying for the services they receive,” Osiadacz said. “So the rest of the people won’t be supplementing what a developer is coming in and doing or if someone is wanting to put in a driveway.” (READ MORE)
