“If you are a Republican who has an interest in being more politically active or is interested in leadership and enjoys getting out, meeting, and talking with your fellow neighbors then consider becoming a Republican PCO (Precinct Committee Officer)”
The PCOs are the grassroots base of the Kittitas County Republican Party and are vital to its success. They serve as the political representative for their respective precincts. They form the foundation for communicating the ideas and principles of our KCRP to those within each of their respective precincts throughout the county.
PCOs are non-paid, publicly elected or appointed officials of the Republican Party who may serve for unlimited two-year terms. They are elected to office by the voters within their own precincts during the Republican Primary Election every even-numbered election year. Once certified by the Director of Elections in and for Kittitas County, Washington they become the Republican representatives for their precinct.
PCOs are responsible for electing the leadership of their Legislative District, County, and State Republican Party organizations. They participate in their Precinct and District Caucuses as well as the County and State Conventions as delegates every two years. And, if elected by their fellow PCO delegates, may be elected to serve as a state delegate at the Republican National Convention as part of the Electoral College process during a presidential election year!
