Most of the county has received their ballot this week and, as anxious as conservatives are to vote, this is the weekend people are likely to get their ballot filled out. The time that they are thinking about it is when we can have an influence on friends, family, and neighbors.
Along with the doorbelling going on today (RIGHT NOW) in Ellensburg, personal contact is the best way to encourage people to vote.
- If you know a conservative who doesn’t vote every election – please encourage them to get their ballot in.
- Ask people you know if they have turned in their ballots and offer help if they need it. There are resources you can send them to no matter where they live: Republican Party Voter Information
- Sign up to be a Red Dialer – you can reach “low propensity” conservative voters in your county and encourage them to vote (Call HQ)
- It is a good idea to put your ballot in the locked ballot boxes provided by the county. When you get your ballot posted early in the cycle; you can then check your ballot status here: Track Your Ballot here

If you have questions regarding the referendum and advisory votes:
The following is from Ruth Peterson, Legislative Assistant to Sen. Braun and PCO in Lewis County is an excellent source of all things legislative. Below is her informed insight on the other ballot issues.
Remember “REJECT TO PROTECT” :
Referendum 90 – REJECTED -this vote will reject the legislation that instituted the mandated sexual health education for elementary children and took away the ability of school districts and parents to make those decisions at the local level.
For more information, see this article I wrote – https://lewiscountyrepublicans.org/vote-rejected-on…/
Advisory Votes – just vote to reject all of them. They have no force of law at all. They are just an opinion poll. If you want more information or if you are wondering why any legislator would vote yes on these bills, I wrote an article. It’s complicated, but I provide an example to help clarify – https://lewiscountyrepublicans.org/about-the-advisory…/
#32 – SB 5323 – Plastic Bags
#33 – SB 5628 – Tax on Heavy Equipment
#34 – SB 6493 – Increased B&O Tax on services
#35 – SB 6690 – Increased B&O Taxes on aerospace
SJR 8212 – Constitutional Amendment – Approved This is a very complex issue and one that is not easy to understand. I wrote an article – https://lewiscountyrepublicans.org/1305-2/
